Sizing always varies depending on the child. If your child is a medium width, our styles tend to fit true to size, while allowing for room to grow. Wider feet can mean a size up is needed in most cases. Please use our Home Measuring Kit (located at the bottom of the page) to help determine the proper size. And, of course, send us an email or call us to discuss any sizing inquiries.
We do not carry half sizes at this time. Both the Casual and Splashers line are whole sizes only.
For some of our new categories, that might be a possibility!
Of course, there are exceptions, but for the most part, the answer is yes. Typically, we suggest at least one size up and if they are in between sizes, we suggest two sizes. For example, if they measure 8.5, we would suggest the size 10 with an AFO. Please call us with any questions and we are glad to help.
Yes, both the Casual and Splashers lines have removable insoles. The Casual shoes have a leather insole to help with sweat while the Splashers shoes have a padded EVA insole.
For this particular item, we recommend buying it true to size. If a child measures a 9, order the size 9.

Returns + Exchanges
We donate 10% of all sales to your child's school. Therefore, we give our community 45 days from the original purchase date to return or exchange new and unused items. For returns and exchanges, please click here
It is the same process as returns. You can use the link at the bottom of the page to begin. Once we receive your original shoe back, we will begin the exchange.
Typically, it takes 48 hours for your refund to reflect back into your account.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow worn items to be returned. Only items in their original condition will be accepted.
Every 45 days we send the donations to each school. Any returns after that point would not be easy to manage. We appreciate your understanding.
You will see an area to enter your school name and zip code as you add items to the cart and it will also be located at the checkout page.
Kurkside is the name of the first street our founder grew up on here in Los Angeles.
Our founder is married with three girls. Currently, they are all at different schools and in each case, teachers are constantly asking for donations, i.e. pens, markers, tissue, paper, erasers, glue sticks and others. In order for his kids have the best possible experience at school, the teachers need the resources to do their job. Now, all of us at Kurkside are fully invested in helping teachers get the supplies they need so kids everywhere can get the education they deserve.
